Jampol's latest dead client

JAMMIN WITH JOPLIN: JAM's manager to dead legends Jeff Jampol is at it again. One Night With Janis Joplin is headed to the Pasadena Playhouse for a March 15 opening after previous engagements in Washington, Cleveland and Portland. The show, described as a “full-on concert experience and musical journey into the life and inspirations” of the late blues-rocker, stars Mary Bridget Davies in the title role and Sabrina Elayne Carlten as “the Blues Singer,” a composite character based on Joplin inspirations like Bessie Smith, Etta James and Odetta. No word on who'll play Jampol. The show earned three DC Metro Awards, two Cleveland Critics Circle Awards and received nine Broadway World nominations. (1/7a)
