iTunes charts

iTUNES CHARTS: The Tuesday morning changeover is in effect at the top of the albums leaderboard, with new releases from the Hollywood Undead, the Black Veil Brides and Christian artist Chris Tomlin on top, Dropkick Murphys close behind, the Pitch Perfect soundtrack catching fire following the DVD release and the preorder for Bowie’s first LP in a decade sliding in at #10. On the singles chart, by contrast, the stars are aligned, so to speak, with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, The Lumineers, Swedish House Mafia and Phillip Phillips joining the usual suspect among the carryover hits. General impression: UMG is starting off 2013 on a roll, with six of the Top 10 albums and five of the Top 10 singles (counting EMI’s Swediosh House Mafia). (1/8a)
