JT Sets Airplay Marks

IF THE SUIT FITS: Justin Timberlake’s “Suit & Tie” featuring Jay-Z reached #1 on iTunes in 31 countries, including the U.S., U.K., Canada, Sweden, France and Brazil. The song broke U.S. radio airplay records, earning the biggest song debut, airplay and audience increase for a solo artist ever. The single was the highest debut at four formats, including Top 40, Urban, Rhythm Crossover and Hot AC, on rotation at 214 stations, among them N.Y.’s Z100, L.A.’s KIIS, Detroit’s WJLB, Norfolk’s WOWI and Chicago’s B96, among others. The first-week spin total of 9,394 was the largest first-week total ever, with 93.4 million listeners representing the biggest first-week audience. Nice work for RCA's Joe Riccitelli and his promo troops. Now, we await Lance Bass’ new single with bated breath. (1/22p)
