Atoms for Peace Run Amok

RUNNING AMOK: Atoms for Peace, the new supergroup formed by Thom Yorke and Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich with drummer Joey Waronker and Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, will mark the release of its debut album Amok with a series of special launch events in London (Oval Space, 2/22), Berlin (Berghain, 3/8) and New York (Le Poisson Rouge, 3/14). The London and New York shows have already sold out, while the Berlin tickets remain on sale. Each event will feature a performance from Yorke and Godrich, lightheartedly described by Thom on Twitter as "two turntables and a microphone.” The nights will also feature full line ups of very special guests. Amok comes out Feb. 26 in the U.S. on XL Recordings. To hear an exclusive interview with the band on NPR, go here. (2/8p)
