YOUTH MOVEMENT: In the night’s first major award, the Grammy for Song of the Year goes to fun.’s “We Are Young,” co-written by the band and producer Jeff Bhasker. The feel-good anthem beat out Carly Rae Jepsen’s even more ubiquitous “Call Me Maybe,” which was seen as its strongest challenger, as well as Kelly Clarkson’s “Stronger,” Ed Sheeran’s “The A Team” and Miguel’s “Adorn.” Earlier, Adele’s live version of “Set Fire to the Rain” bested Jepsen, Clarkson, Katy Perry’s “Wide Awake” and Rihanna’s “Where Have You Been” in the all-female Pop Solo Vocal Performance category.
