iTUNES CHARTS: Just about everything significant that’s going on in the music biz right now is reflected in the iTunes Top 10s this morning. Eight of the albums on the leaderboard are from acts that performed on the Grammys Sunday night if you count Bob Marley Legend collection, the exceptions being another perennial, Journey’s Greatest Hits (priced at $6.99, as are Legend and the other Grammy-associated titles), and UMe’s Pitch Perfect soundtrack, which has become a full-fledged phenomenon. Speaking of phenomena, Baauer’s “Harlem Shake,” holding steady at #3, was unknown outside of EDM circles until midweek, and the exploding single inspired a blog entry in the Wall Street Journal, mere hours after it rocketed into the Top 10; it’s headlined “Harlem Shake Becomes YouTube Age Macarena.” Then there’s Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ massive hit “Thrift Shop,” which continues to tower over every other track. Finally, four of the Top 10 singles were performed on the Grammys. (2/15a)
