HARV IN CHARGE: IGA veteran Rob Harvey has been named Sr. Director of Top 40 at Republic, reporting to EVP Charlie “The Cleaner” Walk. Harvey will handle the format for all stations west of the Mississippi after spending nearly 14 years at Interscope Geffen A&M. “Breaking new artists is Republic’s legacy,” said Harvey. “Goals are achieved strategically and creatively using modern, forward-thinking methodologies, like email and car phones.” Added Walk: “Rob’s proven himself at radio again and again, and we’re confident in his ability to elevate us to the next level at Top 40. And co-star in The Cleaner 2.” The University of Maryland grad began his career in the public relations department of the RIAA, where he polished the gold and platinum records. He left Interscope in December to move to the West Coast, joining Republic in January. (4/2p)
