BUT WAIT, THERE’S DENSMORE: Record Store Day seems an appropriate date for the launch of a book by a member of a legendary band. No wonder, then, that John Densmore, skinsman for The Doors, will kick off the indie promotional tour for his new tome, The Doors: Unhinged, on April 20 at Bull Moose in Scarborough, ME. The drummer, composer, author and activist says Unhinged “is about having integrity in regards to music, and these stores’ owners are very passionate about their product—they care.” Adds Bull Moose proprietor Chris Brown, “This isn’t your standard rock bio,” noting Densmore “has written the most important business book since Who Moved My Cheese.” In an ironic development, this item about integrity is music is running on our website.
