YOUR WEAKEND BOX OFFICE RUNDOWN: Three movies topped the $20 million mark in box office receipts over the weekend, led by Sony Tri Star’s Evil Dead reboot, which debuted atop the list, scaring up $26 million for a per-screen average of $8.6k and an additional $4.5 million in 21 overseas markets. Second place was a virtual deadlock between a pair of holdovers, with Paramount’s G.I. Joe: Retaliation earning $21.1 million for a two-week total of nearly $87 million, while DreamWorks Animation/Fox’s The Croods added a similar amount, for a three-week total of $126 million. The 3D debut of Steven Spielberg’s 1993 Universal classic Jurassic Park debuted at #4 with a neat $18 million and a $6.6k average at more than 2,770 theaters, right around the totals of 3D reissues of Titanic ($17.3 million) and Star Wars ($22.4 million). Film District’s Olympus Has Fallen rounds out the Top 5, with a little over $10 million in 3,000+ theaters for a three-week total of $71 million and a per-screen average of $3.3k. Domestic receipts totaled $134 million, up 8.5% from the first weekend of April a year ago, That uptick comes after three straight weekends of declining revenue and a first quarter in which domestic business has totaled $2.47 billion, down 11.4% from the same point in 2012.
