McIntosh EVP Int'l for CMG

A NEW BRIT IN TINSELTOWN: Robbie McIntosh has been appointed EVP International for the Capitol Music Group, label ruler Steve Barnett announced this morning. In his new post, McIntosh will serve as a senior member of Barnett’s executive team, working closely with CMG label heads, artists and their management to ensure an innovative and collaborative approach in creating and overseeing strategic marketing and promotion plans for CMG artists globally. At least that’s what the press release says. McIntosh will be relocating to Hollywood from London, where an office awaits him in the Capitol Tower. “I’ve had the great pleasure of working with Robbie for many years, and his well-rounded experience, acumen and demeanor make him the ideal person to head International for the Capitol Music Group and serve as a senior executive at the company,” stated Barnett. “All of us at Capitol congratulate Robbie, welcome him to Hollywood, and look forward to his leadership in bringing our artists and their music to the worldwide marketplace.” Said McIntosh: “It was impossible to resist the opportunity to be a part of Steve and Lucian's vision to rebuild the Capitol Music Group into an innovative and aggressive entertainment company. Having worked with Steve previously, I know that his leadership, energy and passion is already driving the company forward, and I'm honored to work with him again and be part of such an exciting period in the company’s illustrious history.” Barnett and McIntosh previously worked together at Sony Music.
