Stones tix sale update

STICKY FINGERS: As we mentioned in this space last week, ticket sales for the Rolling Stones' 50 & Counting tour are surprisingly soft in some markets, a virtually unprecedented predicament for the World's Greatest Rock & Roll Band. For tangible evidence, go to RollingStones.com and check out what's still available. Among the likely culprits are massive price inflation due to corporate consolidation, fear of scalping and plain old greed, but it sure would be ironic, and surreal, if the Stones wind up playing what may well be their very last tour in front of half-empty houses? To give you the lay of the land, the less expensive (read: nosebleed) seats for the kickoff show tomorrow night at Staples are long gone, but if you've got $1280 gathering dust in your wallet, AEG has a pair waiting for you way up front on the floor. As John McEnroe once put it, you cannot be serious. (5/2a)
