BIRDS, WINE & WEASELS: Kenny MacPherson, Jamie Cerreta and the staff of Big Deal Music hosted the first Wine Wednesday at the indie pubco’s snazzy new HQ in Sherman Oaks Wednesday night, which featured a showcase by a recent BDM signing, Aussie five-piece Birds of Tokyo. Among the attendees were Dan Wilson, Tom and Ryan Whalley, BMG’s Wendy Griffiths and Jon Granat, CAA’s Christine Belden, producer Alisa Tager, Ron Cerrito, Phil Costello, Naked & Famous manager Campbell Smith, Francois Mobasser, Guy Blake, Janine Kerr and members of her team at Fox Sports, Alicen Schneider and members of her team at NBC Universal, ABC-TV’s Tony Von Pervieux and BOT manager John Watson. The band has a pair of L.A. shows next week: Monday at Bardot (9:30 p.m.) and Thursday at the Mint (7:30 p.m.). (5/10a)
