Charlie Walk Man Behind Stud

STUD FINDERS: Turns out red-hot Rhode Island rapper Mike Stud (see below) didn’t come out of nowhere. Prior to joining Republic, veteran Charlie Walk has been co-managing the hip-hop newcomer with Austin Rosen, son of fashion mogul and Theory CEO Andrew Rosen, in a co-production deal. Stud is, at the moment, a completely independent artist (and free agent), with the so-far digital-only Relief release on iTunes, where it currently sits at #2 on the album chart. Stud’s being booked by The Agency Group’s Ken Fermaglich and Peter Schwartz. Will it end up at Walk's current label home? Stay tuned. (5/13p)
