American Idol Ratings, Boost Winners

IDOL WRAP: Last night’s American Idol finale, in which 23-year-old Candice Glover earned the crown over country singer Kree Harrison, made her the first female winner since 2006, when Jordin Sparks, who guested last night, was the champ. The show attracted 14.3 million viewers, up 24% from its May 8 episode, and enough to give Fox the night in total viewers and adults 18-49. Pre-orders for Glover’s 19/Interscope album Music Speaks have powered it into the iTunes Top 10 at #6, with the single, “I Am Beautiful,” just outside at #11. The show marked the last appearance for Randy Jackson as a judge. (5/17p)
