Add Paris Hilton to Cash Money

THE FRENCH CONNECTION: Paris was in Cannes to promote Sofia Coppola’s ripped-from-the-headlines The Bling Ring, in which she plays herself. This will be Paris’ second foray as a recording artist. Warner Bros. released her poppy debut album Paris in 2006, spawning the hit single “Stars Are Blind” along with a slew of inevitably snarky reviews. She has said in previous interviews that she’s worked with Snoop Dogg, LMFAO, Flo Rida and Lil Wayne for the new album, which is being helmed by her BFF, Dutch house producer Afrojack. Hilton released an Afrojack-produced single with Weezy, "Last Night,” late last year, and she makes a cameo in a recently released video for Rich Gang, Cash Money’s new all-star rap collective. “Controversy and all of that, it works for your benefit,” Baby told the Times after the deal became a trending topic, which “shows the strength of her popularity. I’m very excited. I’m very appreciative that she’s part of the team. She’s very talented, and a beautiful young woman.” (5/23a)
