iTUNES CHARTS: The top-selling albums in the store on this Friday morning balance the chart between rock and a hard place, with reunited Hall of Famers Black Sabbath, next Tuesday’s expected chart-toppers, leading the way, Imagine Dragons continuing their Top 10 residency and Fall Out Boy looking like their second act will be a long-running one. Sabbath, The Lonely Island and Florida Georgia Line give Monte Lipman’s Republic three of the Top 5, setting up a LeBron-style slam dunk in weekly marketshare, while the Dragons and the surprisingly consistent Gatsby OST putting John Janick’s IGA in a strong position. Daft Punk puts more points on the board for Rob Stringer’s Columbia, with J. Cole (the period apparently optional) hitting Tuesday—and hoping to crash Kanye West’s party. (Side note: Wonder where Yeezus would be if the pre-order were available.) Former Voice finalist Nicholas David, does a cameo on the leaderboard with a four-song indie EP, and the returning Goo Goo Dolls are also hanging around. The heavy artillery is lined up at the summit of the singles chart, locking up the Top 5, but look at Fall Out Boy, nudging up against them, followed by the distaff power trio of Selena, Avril and P!nk. And America still wants to gaze lovingly into J.T.’s “Mirrors.” (6/14a)
