SEAWORTHY WESSELS: With the A2IM indie week conference starting to wind down in New York, there’s lots of chatter surrounding the attendance of a certain indie icon, Roadrunner founder Cees Wessels. Since the sale of RR to WMG, the Dutchman hasn’t been affiliated with any label. So what was he doing there? Some are opining that he’s signaling a desire to start a new indie label venture.
