Daisy courting AT&T?

GIVE US YOUR ANSWER, DO: CNET reports that IGA and Beats ruler Jimmy Iovine has been meeting with labels and reps from AT&T about bundling the highly anticipated Daisy streaming-service as a free add-on for phone plan subscribers. As you probably know by now, the streamery will be designed with more of a human touch in music selection, or "curation," as its proprietors like to say. Offering the service free for a limited period could help consumers become familiar with the service and its value, though, as the article notes, the question of who would absorb the costs of such a period is one of several unresolved questions at this point. Indeed, whether AT&T or another communications company will be the ultimate partner for Beats' baby is TBD. Still, with Iovine, Chief Creative Officer Trent Reznor and other longtime music pros on board, Daisy (built on the architecture of streaming pioneer MOG, which Beats purchased last year) could be one of the offerings in this crowded field to flower.
