BandPage partners with Vevo, Xbox

ARTISTIC CONTROL: BandPage has just announced new partnerships with VEVO and Microsoft’s Xbox Music, potentially enabling the platform’s 500k+ musician users to connect with tens of millions of fans they couldn't reach before. The platform gives artists full control to provide the most accurate and up to date information. "VEVO viewers like to engage with their favorite artists beyond watching their music videos," says video site chief Rio Caraeff in one of several quotes provided by the principals for the announcement. “Through BandPage, we can offer our viewers the most up-to-date artist information across the VEVO platform. This is a win for the artists as well allowing them to share their story with their fans while more effectively promoting and selling tickets to their live shows and merchandise." (8/8a)
