Eminem's football intro

NICE USE OF THE STRAIGHT-ARM: Eminem’s “Berzerk” got its initial workout as the theme of ABC’s prime-time college football coverage Saturday night before and during the Notre Dame-Purdue game. The 1:15 intro clip (which we located on the Shady Records Promotions Facebook page) features fresh footage of an animated Marshall in his trademark hoodie and skullcap, interspersed with quick cuts of the night’s opponents. There were no dedicated lyrics, which would’ve undoubtedly been viewed by fans as a sellout while perpetuating the “awkward” theme of last weekend’s booth interview with Brent Musberger—and we were also relieved to discover that Rick Rubin was absent from the package. Along with “Berzerk,” a snippet of “I’m Not Alone” was used as a bumper at one point. (9/16a)
