iTUNES CHARTS: Here come this week’s debut albums, eight in all, led, not surprisingly, by Jack Johnson, who’ll undoubtedly be in the penthouse a week from today on our own chart. The other two are the Drake pre-order and The Weeknd, which is presently engaged in a battle with Keith Urban for #1 on this week’s Building Album Sales Chart. Jack, Drake and Abel Tesfaye come to you by way of Republic, which has the pedal to the metal and is hurtling toward Q4. This morning’s single story is about two generations of RCA bad girls, who are presently holding court at #1 and #2, while Drake hits a double to warm up from his forthcoming grand slam. (9/17a)
