Capitol stroke

CAPITOL BUILDING: For the first time in recent memory, Capitol has snagged the top two positions on the Mediabase Pop charts, with Katy Perry’s “Roar” at #1 and “Safe and Sound” at #2. Both records are proving to be massive hits, and “Roar” is Katy’s 10th #1 song at Mediabase, which is a record for the most chart-toppers dating back to the airplay tracker's inception in 1992. Even more remarkably, Katy has accomplished this feat with singles from only two albums plus this one from her upcoming third LP Prism (10/22). Big props to Greg Thompson, Dennis Reese and their team for turning a nifty double play. (9/17a)
