Copeland helping raise $ for indie film about him

POLICE BENEVOLENT LEAGUE: Stewart Copeland will host two “kickbacks” in order raise funds for the completion of John Bryant’s indie documentary, Dare to Drum – A Musical Journey With Stewart Copeland, D’Drum & the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. The Police drummer and film composer will conduct master classes in film scoring and drumming, with the participants limited to five in each case. Copeland will also give away a signed Tama snare, Remo drum heads, Vater drumsticks and a two-hour private drum lesson as part of the crowdfunding campaign. But he’s refused to part with the gym shorts he wore while schvitzing behind the kit for the Hall of Fame band. (10/3a)
