McCartney iHeart surprise show for students

THE TEACHERS WHO TAUGHT ME WEREN'T COOL (UNTIL NOW): "OK, students—everyone begin moving single file to the auditorium for an assembly. No running, please. Yes, Montana, it is mandatory. Paul McCartney's going to play a concert for you and then take your questions. I said no running!" Anyway, that's the way we like to imagine it went down today at Frank Sinatra School for the Arts in Astoria, Queens, where iHeartRadio presented a surprise concert by the ex-Beatle (whose Concord set NEW streets 10/15) and a Q&A conducted by on-air host Jim Kerr. Also in attendance was Sinatra School founder and iconic vocalist Tony Bennett. The 400 or so students there, as this picture indicates, clearly went apeshit. Set your DVR for the pithily titled show The iHeartRadio Album Release Party With Paul McCartney: A Q&A and Performance on Clear Channel stations, iHeartRadio.com and Yahoo on 10/14 at 9pm EST. (10/9p)
