Armisen's Clash send-up

BRAIN IN VAIN: Apparently inspired by the release of Sound System, Legacy’s massive box set containing the collected works of The Clash, fellow punk legend Ian Rubbish (who looks a little like Fred Armisen if you squint) has made a documentary of the legendary group entitled The Clash: The Last Gang in Town, which has just premiered on Funny or Die. In the doc, which runs more than six riveting minutes, Rubbish sits down with Mick Jones and Paul Simonon, who also join Ian on a spirited rendering of his classic song “Hey Policeman!” (“My boot goes in your face”). A must-see for fans of The Clash, Rubbish or Portlandia, for that matter. (10/16a)
