TOP 10 TRACKS: A new jolt of energy has shaken up the status quo, led, of course, by Eminem’s throwback tongue-twisting triumph, “Rap God”—and it’ll be interesting to see whether it succumbs to the standard second-week drop-off before climbing back into the picture. The Biebs’ novel serial approach has kept him on the big board with each of the first three weekly installments, continuing the pattern of dropping off the face of the earth as soon as the next one appears, though the gambit is resulting in over 125k units a week. And OneRepublic has passed a significant milestone, climbing into the Top 10 in week 21 on a 17% uptick. Looking at the most active incumbents, things picked up for the already legit smashes from Avicii (+15%) and Miley Cyrus (+30%), and though Lorde dipped 13% from the previous week, a quarter-million-plus is nothin’ to sneeze at.
