ANGELS IN AMERICA: There’s a dark-horse project worth pulling for among next Tuesday’s releases—the soundtrack to the acclaimed film Dallas Buyers Club. Coming out on DBC/Relativity in partnership with (RED) The Global Fund, the all-star compilation features tracks recorded specifically for the project from the likes of Tegan and Sara, My Morning Jacket, Blondfire, Capital Cities, The Airborne Toxic Event, Neon Trees, Fitz and the Tantrums, The Naked and Famous and AWOLNATION, along with “City of Angels” from Thirty Seconds to Mars, whose Jared Leto turns in an Oscar-worthy performance in the movie. Forty cents of each album sale will go to the foundation, which is devoted to the prevention and treatment of HIV, AIDS, TB and malaria. You can stream the entire soundtrack on SoundCloud. (10/25a)
