ANYONE FOR TEA? In attempting to figure out our weekly math problem, it’s easy to see why Columbia is #1 in the weekly track-equivalent album; just think of it as X = 1D. A look at our Top 10-selling singles immediately below indicates that the totals of #2 IGA and #3 RCA are further enhanced by the two labels holding the four biggest tracks as well as five of the 11 top-selling albums (scroll down for yesterday’s weekly frontline marketshare tally), while A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera’s “Say Something” was a major factor in Epic’s #10 finish. And in both overall-plus-TEA and frontline marketshare, the Top Five labels year-to-date are hogging the top five slots this week, as their momentum carries them toward the finish line. Math is fun when you’re winning. (12/5a)
