DOWNLOAD THIS: Hey, just two more changeover Tuesdays till Christmas, kiddies! But instead of visions of sugarplums, the vision dancing in our heads this morning is an outfit composed of nothing more than a Santa cap and black panties. There are three seasonal albums in the iTunes Top 10—four if you count the Frozen soundtrack. But the big story is Childish Gambino, who is looking like Glassnote’s next big thing behind the Community cast member and former 30 Rock writer’s brand new sophomore album. (Pssst: You can get it for $6.99 at Amazon MP3, kiddies.) There are plenty of primetime-TV tie-ins on the singles side as well, with a pair of perfs from last night’s show, plus the breakout hit from A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera triggered by the same show last month. What's more, the appearance of a second from their upcoming (on 1/14/14) Epic album Is Anybody Out There? zooming into the Top 5, with no help from Xtina, suggests that the duo now has a life of its own. And that’s the feel-good story du jour. (12/10a)
