Beyonce everywhere

THE BEY STORY: The weekend impact of Beyonce's instant smash, which we told you about on Thursday evening, is chronicled heavily in this morning's press. "Beyonce took an entirely different approach to marketing her new album: She didn't," notes today's Wall St. Journal. Meanwhile, a New York Times article traces the album's unorthodox rollout and its repercussions (and happens to mention our rag), the L.A. Times compares the record's sudden appearance to the scrupulous setups of other major releases, the Huffington Post noted the incorporation of new single "XO" into her Chicago concert (see clip above), the N.Y. Post previewed some of the "sizzling" videos from the collection and CNN traced online response. Expect Queen B to dominate the conversation for a while longer. (12/16a)
