YOUR WEEKEND BOX OFFICE: The Afghanistan war drama Lone Survivor, starring Mark Wahlberg, scored the second-best January opening ever (after 2008's Cloverfield) with $38.5 million this weekend, easily nabbing the top spot. Swords-and-sandals outing The Legend of Hercules had a less-than-heroic debut, meanwhile. A number of awards-season flicks, including American Hustle (recipient of much Golden Globe love last night), August: Osage County, Saving Mr. Banks, Her, Inside Llewyn Davis and Nebraska, went wide, with Hustle faring best. August made $7.3m (a 5,000%+ increase).
