GRAMMY WINNER: The label winner at last night’s Grammy’s was unquestionably Rob Stringer’s Columbia. In addition to Album and Record of the Year winner Daft Punk, the label dominated with Producer of the Year Pharrell (an MVP collaborator with both Daft Punk and Robin Thicke), superstar performer Beyoncé and singer/songwriter John Legend. Adele, meanwhile, took Best Song for Visual Media ("Skyfall") and The Civil Wars won for Best Country Duo/Group Performance. Daft Punk, whose performance with Pharrell, Nile Rodgers and Stevie Wonder was unquestionably a highlight of the evening, saw their album shoot to #5 the iTunes album chart, while their monster “Get Lucky” shot back up to #8 on the singles side. Legend’s love song “All of Me” zoomed to #3, and his was the second most Shazamed moment on the show, according to the influential app maker (Legend also topped Shazam’s purchased-tracks Top 5). Pharrell’s “Happy,” already on fire, moved to #2; it’s exploding at radio, and we fully expect Legend to follow suit. Beyoncé, whose self-titled album was already a juggernaut, saw “Drunk in Love,” the duet she performed on the broadcast, jump from #25 to the Top 10. (1/27p)
