THINK OF IT AS SUETUBE: Advertising specialist and original Google staffer Susan Wojcicki will become the new head of YouTube, The Information reports, citing two people briefed on the discussions. The video colossus has struggled to charge more for its ads as the supply of videos continues to outstrip advertiser demand, and Google CEO Larry Page is determined to ramp up that revenue stream, so tasking the trusted Wojcicki with that task would seem to make sense. If Page makes the move, current YouTube head Salar Kamangar, another member of Page’s inner circle, would likely remain at Google in another capacity. Pretty dry stuff, but without these people we wouldn’t have unlimited access to cute cat videos... In related news, the Music Business Association (NARM to the uninitiated) has added YouTube Product Manager Fred Beteille to its Board of Directors. (2/5a)
