THAT’S A WHOLE LOTTA EYEBALLS: VEVO has just released the 2013 U.S. Music Video Viewership Report, and we’re just digging into the stats. Among the informational nuggets, we’ve learned that 55 billion music videos were watched globally across the platform last year—a 33% jump over 2012—with Miley Cyrus’ “We Can’t Stop” and “Wrecking Ball” generating the most combined views for any artist, while P!nk's "Just Give Me a Reason" (f/Nate Ruess) was the most shared clip. The same video was #1 in the U.S. in that category, followed by Robin Thicke, T.I. and Pharrell’s “Blurred Lines,” Rihanna’s “Stay” f/Mikky Ekko, Lorde’s “Royals” and Imagine Dragons’ “Radioactive”—no surprises there. VEVO ranked #1 in music for (a streak that has extended over 49 straight months), #3 in entertainment and among the Top 10 overall among online video properties, according to comScore. (2/19a)
