iTunes Festival @ SXSW

WOULD YOU LIKE BBQ SAUCE WITH THAT iTUNES FEST? Coldplay, Imagine Dragons and London Grammar will share the bill on night one of the five-show iTunes Festival at SXSW, running from 3/11-15 at Austin's Moody Theatre. It’ll be the first time the fest takes place in the U.S., following seven years in London. Other acts named in Apple’s initial announcement include Keith Urban, Willie Nelson, Pitbull and Zedd, in keeping with the iTunes Fest’s eclectic approach. The most recent London event, which took place in September at the Roundhouse, featured Elton John, newly minted double BRIT winners Arctic Monkeys, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry. As with the London fests, all the Austin performances will stream live and will subsequently be viewable in the iTunes Store. "The iTunes Festival in London has become an incredible way for Apple to share its love of music with our customers," iTunes chief Eddy Cue said in a statement. “We're excited about the incredible lineup of artists performing and SXSW is the perfect place to debut the first iTunes Festival in the U.S. We'll see where it leads us."
