iTunes UK

YE JOLLY OLDE iTUNES U.K. CHARTS: Wednesday’s BRIT Awards telecast factors heavily into this Friday sales snapshot, with nine of the Top 10 albums from winners and performers (with two apiece from Bastille and Disclosure), including Beyoncé, whose self-titled album has been on the leaderboard since it came out. But the BRIT spike is clearly what propelled “XO,” which Bey sang on the show, onto the singles chart, along with the Grammy-style pairing of Bastille and Rudimental and, last but not least, the chart-topping Critics' Choice winner Sam Smith. While we're on the subject, feel free to compare these charts to the latest batch of playlisted songs and rotation increases from BBC Radio 1. (2/21a)
