LET'S GET PHYSICAL: The seventh annual Record Store Day is coming on 4/19, but you needn't wait until then to celebrate the noble music retailer. A press conference highlighted by Mayor Eric Garcetti's Record Store Day proclamation will take place at Amoeba Records in Hollywood at 10am on 3/20. The event will also feature a panel discussion with Record Store Day co-founder Michael Kurtz, artists, including Chuck D (Public Enemy), John Densmore (The Doors) and Samuel Lopez (Tapioca and the Flea), and record store owners and staff, including Marc Weinstein (Amoeba), Mark Thompson (Vacation) and Neil Schield (Origami), among other patriotic activities.
