Patty Steele joins Shannon the AM

WOMAN OF STEELE: New York radio veteran Patty Steele is coming aboard Scott Shannon’s “Shannon in the Morning” show on WCBS, PD Jim Ryan announced today. She’ll provide news and entertainment reports on the morning-drive program alongside weather guy Mr. G and traffic correspondent Joe Nolan. Steele, who’s married to Empire Broadcasting’s Steve Kingston, worked with Shannon at Z100 back in the day; she has previously worked at New York’s WABC-AM, WCBS-AM, WHTZ and WPLI, as well as in numerous other markets. SuperShan, you’ll recall, “retired” for about 10 minutes last month to join the PGA Champions Tour before starting his latest chapter. (3/25p)
