TREASURES FROM THE BASEMENT: T Bone Burnett strikes again. The musical adept is overseeing Lost on the River: The New Basement Tapes, an all-star project that finds a respected group of singer/songwriters creating music for two dozen newly discovered lyrics by Bob Dylan. Elvis Costello, Marcus Mumford of Mumford & Sons, Jim James of My Morning Jacket, Rhiannon Giddens from Carolina Chocolate Drops and Taylor Goldsmith of Dawes are now in Capitol Studios with Burnett; the circa-1967 lyrics are from the same period that generated Dylan's classic album with The Band, The Basement Tapes. The new set, created with Dylan's blessing, is due later this year on Capitol Music Group's Electromagnetic/Harvest Records, and will be accompanied by a Showtime documentary, Lost Songs: The Basement Tapes Continued.
