BMG Primary Wave new deals

IT TAKES THREE:
Four-time Grammy-nominated artist Eric Benet, singer-songwriter Calvin Richardson and soulful songstress Goapele have just signed deals with BMG and Primary Wave Artist Services as a precursor to their upcoming album releases; they're the first R&B artists to be signed since the 2013 joint venture. The Artist Services model allows artists to retain ownership of their copyrights with full creative control, while receiving necessary funding along with BMG’s global reach and synch services and Primary Wave’s strong in-house marketing team. Larry Mestel, CEO of Primary Wave Music, announced, “it is with great pride that we are able to introduce Eric Benet, Calvin Richardson and Goapele to the BMG/Primary Wave family,” followed by, "our approach to artist services is truly unique to the industry. Our model is to partner and work very closely with the artists during every aspect of the process from inception to the release of the music." (4/3p)
