KINDA BLUE, IN THE KEY OF SOUL: The Black Keys have pulled out a second track from Turn Blue (Nonesuch, 5/13), the follow-up to 2011’s El Camino, which put these Midwestern underdogs in the conversation as the biggest rock band in America. The title song, which becomes the second Instant Grat offering triggered by a pre-order, along with lead single “Fever,” is a bittersweet midtempo mood piece in the manner of early-’70s Marvin Gaye, and it’s more representative of the album overall than is the four-on-the-floor “Fever.” Super-tasty and very different for this band.
