Round Hill gets Tesla

TESLA GETS ROUNDED UP: Round Hill Music has inked pub rights for rock band Tesla, whose catalog includes "Love Song," "Modern Day Cowboy" and "The Way It Is." The Sacramento-bred hard rock outfit, founded in 1982, has sold 14 million albums in the U.S. Round Hill founder/CEO Josh Gruss, a hardcore fan, calls them "one of the most iconic bands from the hard rock era of the late '80s and early '90s," and requisitioned a case of Aqua-Net to tease up his perm for a photo op. The pubco's other holdings include Marti Frederiksen, American Authors, singer/songwriter Tatu and composer Chris Caswell. (5/8p)
