Beats-Apple closing?

GIMME A BEATS: Inside sources confirm that—despite bullshit rumors to the contrary—the Apple-Beats deal is most definitely happening and could close any day. It wouldn’t surprise us at all to see Apple CEO Tim Cook announce the arrival of Jimmy, Dre and team at Cupertino’s Worldwide Developers Conference, which kicks off on 6/2; the tech-geek message boards seem to concur. That event is also likely to see the debut of Apple’s “smart home” suite, of which music will certainly be a part (the nerd Nostrodamuses seem to feel the smart watch isn’t quite ready for prime time). Apple stock is up 11 points today to $625 and set to split 7-to-1 on 6/9; the market doesn’t seem to believe the Billboardshit any more than we do.
