YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE STONED, BUT IT HELPS: This previously unreleased Led Zeppelin instrumental from 1969, "La La," was posted on NME this afternoon, and offers the kind of joyous Jimmy Page lead guitar Zep heads will recognize from "Celebration Day," as well as some nice folky acoustic stuff, a bit of psychedelic slide work and, courtesy of John Paul Jones, some Booker T.-influenced organ. The track is an unfinished sketch from the band's sophomore album and will appear on the deluxe reissue next week. If you feel like buying the editorial department a gift, the whole set of these Zep reissues wouldn't be a terrible idea. Along with some 18-year-old scotch. Or 18-year-old anything, really. (5/29p)
