RISING TOWER: The dick clark productions music competition Rising Star debuts 6/22 on ABC, and the show’s Allen Shapiro and Mark Shimmel have chosen Steve Barnett’s Capitol as its label outlet. The show’s unique concept, in which real-time viewers vote for performers via app, potentially removing a video “wall” that is their hurdle to fame, is visualized in the trailer above, which features series “experts” Brad Paisley, Ludacris, Ke$ha and Josh Groban.
