Songs of Hope

HOPE FLOATS: Hundreds of movers and shakers gathered last night at House of Fair (aka Ron Fair’s crib) in Santa Monica for the 10th annual Songs of Hope charity event benefiting City of Hope. Jimmy Jam emceed, Colbie Caillat and Avery Wilson performed and collectibles from the worlds of music and film were auctioned off. Dr. Luke received the Clive Davis “Legend in Songwriting” Award, while film composer Brian Tyler (Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World) received the Electronic Arts Composer Award. “As a cancer survivor myself, I cherish the opportunity to co-chair this special event and assist in raising needed funds that will help continue City of Hope's compassionate care of patients and groundbreaking research that will ultimately yield a cure for cancer,” said Doug Davis of The Davis Firm, one of the event co-chairs, along with Spirit Music Group’s David Renzer and UMPG’s Evan Lamberg. In the photo are (l-r) Renzer, Doug Davis, Lamberg, Clive Davis and Neil Portnow, who personally delivered the Domino’s pizza and complained about the size of the tip. (6/5p)
