Beatles tour doc

DAY TRIPPING: The Beatles’ touring years will be the subject of a feature-length authorized documentary being put together by Apple Corps, White Horse Pictures and Imagine Entertainment. The film—which will follow the Fabs from their early days at the Cavern Club to their final concert at Candlestick Park in 1966—will be directed by Ron Howard and produced by White Horse’s Nigel Sinclair, Scott Pascucci and Imagine’s Brian Grazer with Howard. “I am excited and honored to be working with Apple and the White Horse team on this astounding story of these four young men who stormed the world in 1964,” said Howard, “even if they never did get to Mayberry.” (7/16a)
