U2 CAN LISTEN: As you may have noticed if you're watching Apple's live Cupertino event, U2's newest album, Songs of Innocence, was just gifted (yes, that means " for free") to over half a billion iTunes customers worldwide. The band's 13th studio album, containing 11 new tracks, has appeared in consumers' "Purchase History" and will be released for purchase physically and digitally - for those few who have not yet bowed down to Apple's immense power - on 10/14 via Interscope. A deluxe version will also be released with acoustic versions of select songs from the album and four additional tunes. (9/9p)
