iPhone sales

MUST-HAVE ITEM HAD BY MANY: Apple reported today that it’s sold more than 10 million iPhone 6 and 6 Plus units since their retail debut on Thursday; this exceeds last year’s iPhone bow, which racked up a pitiable 9 million. The latest total doesn’t include China sales, as regulators there have not yet approved Cupertino’s latest smart gizmos. One downside to the news: We’ll all be reading a lot more of the word “phablet,” the deeply unfortunate term for phones with big screens like the 6 Plus’ 5.5 diagonal inches. To which we say, phuck.
