GRIM TIDINGS: With its trash talk, lewd innuendo and flushing-toilet noises, American "morning zoo" radio has rightly gained a rep for raunch. It's so unlike those reserved, urbane, witty folk in the U.K., right? Well, it seems BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show host Nick "Grimmy" Grimshaw will be attempting, on 9/30, to break the Guinness World Record for Longest Duration Twerking live on the air. That means at least an hour of nonstop bum-waggling. Grimmy's prep has involved intense, um, twerkouts with someone called Brooklyn, and R1 listeners may submit ideas for a twerking playlist via the Beeb's Facebook page and Twitter feed (@BBCR1). "I can't wait to be etched into the history books for such a noble, worthwhile cause," reads a quote from Grimshaw in the announcement. "Twerking has always been close to my heart...and arse." Queen Victoria stopped spinning in her grave long enough to suggest TeeFlii's "This D" for the playlist. (9/23a)
